The Post-Skype Chaos: One Month Later, Where Are We Now?

a laptop with skype on it is switching off, as Skype is being discontinued

As I promised in my latest article, it’s time for a little update on the Skype situation. It’s been a month since Microsoft announced the end of Skype, and I’ve been closely watching how things have been evolving, especially in our little world of Findom and private communication.

Let’s go over what’s been happening, where people are moving (if anywhere), and how this so-called “migration” is going.

Microsoft Teams: Not the Replacement We Hoped For

When Microsoft dropped the bomb about shutting Skype down, they followed it with something vague like:

“By logging in to Teams Free with your Skype account, your chats and contacts will appear in the app so you can pick up where you left off. This capability will gradually roll out over the coming days.

Now tell me—why announce it if it’s not ready? I spent weeks trying to log into Teams with my Skype account, and for days: nothing. Zero. Then, a few days ago, it finally happened. I logged in, and boom, my Skype contacts and chat history were there. I thought, “Great! Let’s move forward.” So I uninstalled Skype.

But no, it’s not all great. Far from it. Here’s why Teams is still a mess for what we used Skype for:

1. Only One Personal Account at a Time

With Skype, you could switch between multiple personal accounts. Maybe one for friends, one for work, one for Findom, whatever. Teams? Nope. You can only be logged in with one personal account per device. If you want to use another one, you have to sign out, remove the old one, and start all over again. Every. Single. Time.

2. You Can’t Rename Contacts

Seriously. How is this still a thing? With Skype, I used to rename contacts based on how I knew them, especially useful when Goddesses go by different names across platforms. In Teams? Not possible. You’re stuck with whatever username they’ve got, which makes searching through your list a real nightmare.

3. The Mobile App Doesn’t Sync Properly

Try logging into Teams mobile with your Skype account, and… surprise! Your chats and contacts aren’t there. And if you start a new conversation, it opens up on your desktop as an entirely separate chat thread. Confusing and disjointed. Basically, it’s still broken.

Telegram? Seems Promising, But…

At first, I really thought Telegram could be the next best thing. It’s fast, loaded with features, highly private… sounds perfect, right?

But there’s a major issue: you need a phone number to register. That alone makes it really hard to keep your Findom life separate from your personal or work one. Unless you go the route of burner numbers or second devices, which… come on, we’re not all James Bond.

So for now, Telegram is off the table for private one-on-one Findom sessions, at least for me.

Discord: A Possible Alternative?

Someone in the comments of my previous post mentioned Discord. I gave it a try. Technically, it works. You can chat, call, send media: just like Skype. But here’s the thing: it doesn’t feel right.

I haven’t found any Goddesses I follow using Discord as a primary tool, and honestly, it feels more like a place for gamers or communities, not private one-on-one sessions. Maybe that will change. Who knows.

So… What’s the Actual Replacement for Skype?

Right now? There isn’t one.

For me, Skype is gone. If you want to send me a message (I will answer when I can, since at the moment I am not really using any of these as a Skype replacement), I’m reachable on:

Teams doesn’t work because I need multiple personal accounts. Telegram doesn’t work because of the phone number issue. And for the moment, nothing really replaces Skype. At least not properly.

Side note: The Findom Alerts Telegram Channel stays active, obviously (and it is actually growing fast!). That’s a different story, broadcast-only, not for personal chatting.

What’s Happening With SkyPrivate?

SkyPrivate is the site that allows paid Skype video sessions. As soon as Microsoft made their announcement, they said they were working on a replacement integration with Teams.

One month later? Still no news. None of the Goddesses I follow have enabled the Teams option, and the site still features Skype links front and center.

If you ask me, this is going to hit them hard. Which is a shame, because the service was actually useful for pay-per-minute live sessions.

Final Thoughts

It’s been a month, and we’re still in limbo. Personally, I’m navigating through various platforms to stay connected, but there’s no real, solid alternative to Skype yet, at least not for the kind of use we need in Findom.

So I’ll throw the question back to you:

What are you using now? Have you found a platform that works as well (or better) than Skype? Are you just sticking with the old tools until the last minute? Or are you as lost as the rest of us?

Let me know. This isn’t over yet.

The End of Skype: What’s Next for Findom?

The End of Skype: What’s Next for Findom?

nd of Skype – A businesswoman in stockings lounges confidently in a dimly lit office, with a laptop displaying alternative messaging apps and cash on the table. 'Skype Discontinued' is visible in the background, symbolizing the shift in online communication.

Today, Microsoft dropped a bombshell: Skype will be officially discontinued in May, with users encouraged to migrate to Microsoft Teams instead. While this news sent waves of shock across the internet, for many in the Findom community, it felt like the ground beneath us had suddenly shifted.

Skype has long been the go-to platform for private, unrestricted conversations between PayPigs and Goddesses. It’s where real connections are built, where financial submission happens beyond the limits of traditional cam sites, and where Findom relationships thrive away from the prying eyes of censorship-heavy platforms. So, what now?

A Look Back: When Skype Took Over

I still remember the early days of Findom, more than 15 years ago. Back then, MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger were the kings of instant messaging. Most Goddesses preferred Yahoo Messenger, and I was hooked on it myself. But things changed when Microsoft took over Skype, MSN was phased out, and Yahoo Messenger faded into obscurity.

For years, Skype was the place for private sessions, financial drains, and deep one-on-one interactions. But let’s be honest—this moment has been coming for a while. The lack of real updates, the slow but steady decline of its features, and the push for Microsoft Teams made it clear that Skype was living on borrowed time.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Right now, the best move is to wait and see where the majority of Goddesses and PayPigs migrate. It’s possible that some will simply move over to Microsoft Teams. But let’s be real—Teams is far from ideal for Findom. If you already use it for work (like I do), having a second Teams account dedicated to Findom is a nightmare. It’s heavily integrated into Microsoft’s ecosystem, tied to email and calendars, and running multiple accounts on the same device is nearly impossible.

A more likely contender? Telegram.

  • Feature-rich & private – It has all the tools needed for Findom, with strong privacy settings.
  • No censorship fears – Unlike Skype or traditional cam platforms, Telegram offers more freedom.
  • Findom Alerts – If you know, you know.

But again, it’s too early to tell. The announcement just dropped, and most people are still figuring out their next move. The only thing that’s certain? This isn’t the end of private Findom sessions—just a shift into a new era.

Oh, and let’s not forget the elephant in the room: SkyPrivate. What does this mean for them? That’s a whole other discussion—one I’ll definitely be writing about soon. Stay tuned.

How to easily zoom text in Skype 10

How to easily zoom text in Skype 10

Not one of my usual posts today… but I think this one might come in handy to many people, especially Goddesses.

I’m sure we all use Skype A LOT for videochat, and I’m also quite sure many Goddesses have the screen not all the time closer to their eyes. Thing is, with the new Skype, there is one little probem: setup a specific font face and size is impossible.

That sucks: wouldn’t it be nice if you would be able to have a way bigger text size in chat, so that you can see it from a distance?

Well… if you don’t know how to do it, simply follow my guide here…and thank me later 🙂

Oh and before you ask… I own a Windows PC and I know NOTHING about MACs…so this will be for Windows only. Guess there must be something similar on iOs…but I really don’t know.

When you are on Skype program window, simply press and release ALT on your keyboard.

A new menu will show up on top and, from that one, simply select the “View” option.

Under that, you’ll see a nice “Zoom in” thing to click on… that’s it! Repeat that for as many times you want to zoom in (or use the shortcut displayed) and… make Skype text as bigger as you want!

Yes I know, the picture is about the italian version of Skype…but I’m sure you’ll manage to understand it..right? 🙂
